New Years Dress Guide | 2017
This may be completely cliché at this point but truly I cannot believe this year is coming to a close. However, when I reflect on the year I can also say it has been quite eventful. I’ve started the job of my dreams, I’ve made many new friends and my goals for the future have never been clearer. With that being said it is time to celebrate!
The holiday season brings about so many different opportunities to get dressed up whether it be drinks with the girls, dinners with family or a candle lit evening with a special someone. And of course we cannot forget those annual work events! In honor of this year’s New Years celebration I have put together some of my favorite holiday looks to ring in the new year! I present to you The Glam One, The Girly One and The Classic One. What styles will you be rocking this year?
The Glam One
You don’t have to go far to find a sparkly dress for New Years Eve the shops are full of them. I found my glistening glam cocktail dress at the store Honey. I always seem to find something extra girly and fun in Honey! I chose to go with a dark navy to bring a classic tone to a party girl dress.
The Girly One
Earlier on I said I always find girly and fun dresses in Honey and this dress was no exception. As soon as I saw this little number I knew I had to have her! To be honest, at the time I made the purchase I didn’t have anywhere specific to even wear this dress. New Years is the perfect time to wear lux fabrics and rich colors. A velvet is the perfect fabric for the holidays. Darker hues of velvet are my favorite because of the way the fabric reflects the light.
The Classic One
I wanted to show a classic style that still had some New Years flare by choosing a red single shoulder versus a little black dress (which I still love). I am in love with the way this dress is gathered in the center below the bust line. I think this detailing makes it look like the dress is a present! That being said this dress is perfect for not only New Years but also just holiday parties in general. I paired a green earring to take on the full holiday glam look. There is something so feminine about the one shoulder style and I truly think it is underrated.
Earrings To Dress Up Your Look
I ended up purchasing a box set of my favorite earrings from Baublebar. You may have noticed every one of these looks contains one similar element, my earrings. Here are some of my other favorite Baublebar earrings to dress up your holiday look!
