The strangest part about shopping this time of year is the seasonal changes in the mall. I often go through a clothing identity crisis at this time because I get so excited for what is new.
I would have to say fall is my absolutely favorite time for fashion. Fall is the time for classic neutrals and rich colors of layering. Oh and of course boots and scarves galore!
However, in the time between August and October when you are living in summer but mentally preparing for fall, there are ways to bridge the gap. I love shopping the end of summer sales but something always draws me to the rich colors of fall.
This weekend I spent time in Toronto shooting a couple of looks for upcoming blogs and here are a couple pieces that will transition with the summer heat and the fall pallet.
Also featured in this post is Mascot Brewery; a small rooftop bar perfect for a little getaway in the city.
Here are my top picks
Plum Aritzia Hat perfect for shading your eyes from the sun and adding some cool tones for the fall. This TNA Pueblo T-Shirt – Heather Ashen Cool is comfortable and functional. I love this thin long sleeve in the afternoons when you just want to be comfortable.
As for accessories, a black bag is a must to have you in your closet. I bought this Kate Spade – Cameron Street Holly last season but it never seems to go out of style. The reason I love this bag is because of the structure. I usually lose what I am looking for in slouchy bags!
The Black Choker Necklace from Ardene is a nice touch to make the look more urban. I have been looking for a pair of comfortable shoes for days like this. Ones you can just throw on and go! I am so happy with this purchase – Vans – Perf Suede Slip-On.
The final touch is always the nail polish. And in classic Amanda style I went with my all time favorite Essie Nail Polish – Topless and Barefoot. This color is seriously the perfect shade for any outfit and any time of year. A true classic!
Hope you’re having a great weekend!
