My Travel Uniform in 5 Simple Steps

I absolutely love traveling. Actually I am literally on a plane right now flying to Quebec City, Canada. I had the opportunity to jet set with one of my closest girlfriends this weekend. We decided to explore our own backyard and travel to French Canada.

When I travel comfy is key. And even though this was a short distance comfort was still taken into consideration. For my quick tips on comfortable travel just keep scrolling…

Also throughout the post you are going to notice the Preston bag by Eve – my current obsession! This bag is so cute with any outfit, packs so much and you might even get a compliment or two carrying it! You can find this bag here!

1. Be like an Onion and Layer!

Especially right now, with it being winter, layering is key. You might be going to a hot destination but you know what – planes are cold. I don’t like to be cold, thus, layering is my go-to top tip when it comes to planning a travel outfit.

2. Bottoms Up!

On the bottom I will usually go for a yoga pants, a simple legging or stretchy jeans. I am not into wearing shorts on a plane for the reasons that I usually get too cold and I find the seats kind of itchy. Nobody wants an itchy rear when traveling!

3. Get that flow on

On the top I will always opt for a shirt that flows away from my body. Raise your hand if you want to be adjusting your tight top every 5 minutes. I can’t see you right now but my guess is that you didn’t raise your hand. Also, bringing a sweater is key (refer to point above). I love wearing a big knit or sweater because it makes me feel like I have my own personal blanket. This one is from Garage and has a high crew neck.

4. Happy Feet

My footwear of choice is more often than not, a cute slim sneaker, a flat boot or a ballerina flat. I love the sporty look of sneakers and plus it makes it easy to maneuver around the airport. Not to mention one of my favorite things in the world is to have on comfy socks. Sneakers and boots give your toes protection from the cold and help you look like you might actually make it to your gate when you are running through the terminal!

5. Fresh Faced

Less is certainly more when it comes to traveling. While on the go I will opt for less makeup and more moisturizer. Keeping it light allows your skin to breath when you really don’t need to be dolled up! You really are gorgeous just the way you are – let that shine!

What is your travel uniform? I would love to hear if you have any tips when it comes to airport style!
