New Fall Bags From Fable England

09.09.22

My first crossing with Fable England began this year on Instagram. However, the story of this brand tracks all the way back to the 1940’s…

The Story of Fable England

“The Fable adventure began at a vintage fair, where a delicate printed bee scarf dated from the 1940’s was discovered by our founder, crafted from off-cut fabric used for the RAF pilots in World War II. The beautiful bee print symbolised flight, determination and courage.

This sparked the idea of telling a tale through prints and delicate hand painted jewellery. Each represents positivity and inspires kindness to uplift the human spirit, bringing joy to all who possess the Fable charm.” (Fable England)

Thanks to the Algorithm I Found Fable England

With the rise of social media and the clever workings of marketers behind the scenes I feel like now more than ever I have been served brands that seamlessly work with my style thanks to algorithms. If you’re lucky the algorithm will expose you to companies you would have never otherwise come across naturally — Fable England was exactly that for me!

Now it’s your turn! Let me tell you more about this charming English brand through some imagery and introduce you to three of my favourites from the Fable Collection! Thank you Fable for collaborating with me on this post and inspiring me to head out to nature to capture this beautiful collection.

Alice Green Tote

The Alice Green Tote was the first bag to catch my eye. This bag is well structured and clearly has enough room to hold everything I need to bring with me without being too overbearing. The hilarious oversized, oversized, OVERSIZED bags of the season will shock and amaze! I’ve never owned a green bag before but this is a colour I am gravitating more and more towards. Green is a tone I want to incorporate as a neutral in my wardrobe but also my home. Adding the twilly is a lovely nod to English style and the pattern is stunning!

The small bee embellishment is understated yet impactful and seems to reflect the origin story of this brand. My mom also always says you can tell if a bag has been thoughtfully designed or not by whether or not it has feet. And in fact the Alice Green Tote has four gold feet on the bottom! Well done Fable England you’ve got Bonnie’s approval!

Description From Fable

Springtime adventures await with this structured tote in fresh green recycled faux leather. Lined with our nature-inspired Toile de Jouy print, where pockets and lots of space make it perfect for storing those essentials you can’t leave the house without. Finished with gold-toned hardware and a silk-twilly scarf wrapped around the handle.

Mink Laser Cut Lady Bag

When I first unboxed this top handle bag I was most taken by the colour. This gorgeous pastel pink neutral would be an asset to any shoulder season outfit. I think this bag is truly fit for spring and fall the sympathetic tone compliments those seasonal palettes perfectly. Trust me when I say the laser cut detail is absolutely swoon-worthy. This bag also has an interesting fold and snap system on the front and sides. If you’re one to worry about security you won’t have to stress if you have this bag in your collection. This bag would be a pick pocketer’s nightmare!

Also, in these photos can we take a moment to appreciate the gold hardware!

Description From Fable

Our classic lady bag silhouette with its distinctive tapered shape radiates femininity. This popular Fable style has been given a modern makeover with the artful technique of intricate laser-cutting. Constructed in a delicately cross-hatched PU in a soft mink colour, this elegant little bag features an easy grab handle and a detachable cross-body strap. Shiny gold-toned hardware, including our seasonal icon: ‘The Dormouse’, finishes this bag perfectly.

Embroidered Kingfisher Cross Body Bag

In all of my scrolling I just don’t feel like you get to see embroidery as much as you used to. The “inspired by nature” design, two tone green stitching and gold hardware on the Kingfisher Cross Body Bag is so special. When I was scrolling through the Fable England site this bag was the first one to really grab my attention in a different way. I was immediately transported to the English countryside when I saw this cross body.

One thing I wish this bag had was an option to adjust the strap. I think someone who has a petit figure would find styling this bag difficult with the current standard length. This would be my only feedback when it comes to this design.

Description From Fable

This elegant tonal green cross-body bag features an embroidery of the elusive kingfisher sitting amongst the wildflowers. This everyday handbag is crafted with love from recycled materials and features plaited detailing on the strap and gold-toned hardware. Designed for the free-spirited: the kingfisher is symbolic of freedom, courage, adventure, and balance.

Your Thoughts

I’m curious — what are your thoughts about the Fable England collection? Could you see yourself venturing to an English countryside inspired design? I something I love about this brand past their feminine, adventurous designs is their moral practices.
