The most worn staple in my wardrobe in the winter is 100% the turtleneck. Turtlenecks are a classic piece that can be functional and fashionable. Let’s style it!
Turtlenecks are most definitely the item I have the most of in my wardrobe and the item I wear most frequently in the fall and winter. Hey I even have a summer turtleneck. Girl knows what she likes! But the key to any classic wardrobe piece is knowing how to style it multiple ways. Below you’ll find not only my favourite turtleneck for layering but also one of the many ways I love to style it.
The Zara high collar knit turtleneck is most definitely my most worn turtleneck. I love this piece specifically because of how easy it is to layer. This piece is thin and really compliments your figure.
However, even though I own multiples of this specific piece it does have weak seams. If you pull the sleeve down while taking it off you are sure to rip a stitch. Though this is most certainly an annoying factor of this piece I am grateful to have a Mother who is a wiz kid in the sewing field. One quick trip home to reenforce the sleeves and it’s back to being my favourite.
However if you don’t have a crafty bone in your body just be careful to avoid quick wear and tear. With all of that being said this is still one of my cult classics. Sometimes falling in love hurts.

Though the above turtleneck is most certainly my favourite for layering I would be rude not to tag this beautiful blue knit as well. In these photos I’m sporting this H&M oversized turtleneck and it’s quickly become an everyday pick. It’s been awhile since I’ve taken a look in H&M but the shop is making a quick comeback for me. There is something so classy about an extra high roll-neck. This sweater is an awesome pop of colour and washes great!
